From the history of the CIC
The Catholic Integrated Community originated, after more than 20 years of “pre-history”, in 1968 in the city of Munich. The starting point were questions people were faced with after World War II:

What is missing in our church when, in spite of so many millions of baptized people, Christians waged two world wars against each other in Europe in the 20th century; when, in spite of so many Christians, the social problems of the past 100 years could not be solved, such that deadly dictatorships and ideologies, like Communism and Nazism, could emerge and rule?

What got lost in our Church, when her believers could not prevent the Shoah, the murder of 6 million Jews by Nazi-Germany?

The Catholic Integrated Community is the attempt to answer those questions in life today.
